Estimativa do Produto Dose-Área em Procedimentos de Cardiologia Intervencionista: Uma Revisão de Literatura

Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar uma revisão bibliográfica dos valores do produto dose-área (DAP, do inglês, Dose Area Product) em procedimentos de angiografia coronária (AC) e angioplastia coronária transluminal percutânea (ACTP), obtidos por trabalhos publicados nos últimos dez anos. Os resultados mostram que os valores médios do DAP tiveram uma queda de 22,6% e 5,78% para procedimentos de AC e ACTP, respectivamente, comparando-se com os estudos publicados nos últimos 5 e 10 anos. Verificou-se que estes valores do DAP estão dentro das recomendações publicadas pela IAEA e NCRP. Embora tenha ocorrido uma redução ao longo dos anos para os valores médios do DAP, os dados evidenciam a necessidade de realização de maiores estudos sobre os níveis de referência, visto que existe grande variabilidade nos estudos.
